Mr and Mrs T. G. Price, of “Pareora,” have returned home from a tour of the North Auckland district.

Miss Donella Dalton, daughter of Mr and Mrs F. A. Dalton, of Waipawa, was very successful at the recent State nursing examination. She not only secured an excellent pass but was the only candidate in New Zealand to get medical and surgical honors. Her success adds further glamor to the fine record of the Waipawa District High School, of which she was dux in her last year at school.

At a meeting of the committee of the Waipawa Bowling Club held last evening a letter was received from the H.B. Bowling' Centre advising that a remit would come before the Centre at its annual meeting, sponsored by the executive, for the introduction of a one-life system of play for the Centre Championships. After a general discussion on the proposal, it was decided to advise the Centre that the Waipawa Club was not in favor of such proposal and considered that the present system should be retained There were present at the meeting—Messrs W. M. Murray (chair), Hi T. Limbrick, F. Eagle, A. V. Fleet, R, Jopson, and E. Kingston (secretary). It was decided that in the coming season the skip of any team selected for competition play, then becomes responsible for his team retaining its complement on the day of the match, and for transport arrangements, when necessary.
