ENGLISH TEAM PLAY A DRAW AGAINST MINOR ASSOCIATIONS. PALMERSTON N., Last night. The Minor Associations’ team drew with Sir Julien Cahn’s touring cricketers in a match which concluded in Palmerston North to-day. Features of the game were J. Hardstaff’s faultless 160 and E. A. Watts’ dashing 80 not out in the visitors’ total of 418, and the association’s collapse in the second innings against the bowling of Watts. The weather was bright, sunny and warm, but a westerly wind continued to blow across the pitch all day. The wicket was perfect. Minor Associations made 206 m their first innings, and the visitors 418. At stumps the home team had lost 10 wickets for 119.
