ANOTHER STEP FORWARD
STATE HOUSES FOR WAIPAWA APPROVAL OF SUBDIVISION GRANTED. Following up the letter received from the Director of Housing by Mr A. E. Jull, M.P., in regard to the erection of State houses in Waipawa, application has been made by the Department for approval of the proposed subdivision of the property acquired, in the following terms:—
“Herewith please receive Scheme No. HD 3/382/84, which is submitted for the provisional approval of your Council. Upon your notification of approval, and on completion of the survey of the subdivision a copy of -the plan will be forwarded to you for your endorsement and approval, under section 332 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933. ’ ’ In order that there should be no reason for delay at this end provision consent has been forwarded, but the Council express (he view that the site selected is not the most suitable that could have been purchased. The site is a portion of the Abbotsford property, at the corner of the Stock road. On the sketch plan it is subdivided into nine sections, including one for a double unit dwelling.
