PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN. is hereby given that the Waipawa Borough Council proposes, at its Meeting to be held on the first day of SEPTEMBER, 1938, to consider a Motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing (a) of the sum of £4OOO for the erection of a Picture Theatre, and (b) of the sum of £6OO for the concrete kerbing and channelling of 170 chains of footway. The security for the proposed loans will be special rates as follows, to provide for payment of interest and sinking fund over a period of twenty years:— (i) In respect of the Loan of £4OOO a Special Rate of l-3/127ths of a penny in the £ on the unimproved value of all the rateable land within the Borough; (ii) In respect of the proposed Loan of £6OO a Special Rate of 59/384ths of a penny in the £ on the unimproved value of all the rateable land within the Borough, NOTE,—In respect of the proposed Loan of £4OOO arrangements have been made for the tenancy of the Theatre at a rental sufficient to provide interest and sinking fund charges for a period of ten (10) years. Any person having any objection to the proposed applications is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Waipawa Borough Council not later than the day preceding the said meeting.
