EXPECTED TO BE READY SOON. RUGBY, August 17. It is expected that the Cabot, the first of eight strengthened Empire flying boats which are under construction for Imperial Airways, will emerge very soon from the factory. She and her sister craft can be loaded to a gross weight of 53,0001 b 12,5001 b. more than the standard Empire flying boats—and may be fuelled in mid-air.
They will be employed on transAtlantic flights and over the Tasman between Australia and New Zealand. The Cabot is listed to make two return flights between England and New York by way of Foynes, Botwood and Montreal before the end of October.
