CUDDLE BREAKS DOWN. Whilst doing a track gallop at Wanganui on Tuesday Cuddle, topweight for the Cup, did not please, and on Wednesday it was announced that she had been scratched, having broken down. She will probably be turned out for a spell. Mr W. H. Gaisford’s champion colt Courtcraft is to race at Te Aroha tomorrow. Keith Voitre will have the mount on Regular Bachelor in the Newmarket Handicap. Brazen King, a rank outsider, won the Wanganui Cup yesterday, with Lowfinberg and Middle in the places. Catalogue went out favorite but did not get a good run. The totalisator figures at Wanganui yesterday were over £IOOO up on the first day last year.
