TIBET’S MINERAL WEALTH. BOMBAY, July 17. Ital’s interest in fhe vast mineral resources of Tibet is said to be the main reason for the latest visit of the Italian archaeologist, Professor Giuseppa Tucci. The professor has arrived at Darjeeling on his way to Tibet for his fifth visit.
His tour in 1933 lasted eight months and yielded 3000 ancient Tibetan manuscripts.
It is reported that Professor Tucci intends to examine the possibilties, after which the Italian Government may send engineers to Tibet.
