MADRID BOMBARDED

INCENDIARY SHELLS CAUSE MANY FIRES A BANK RAIDED. MADRID, July 24. Twice within 12 hours the insurgents bombarded the principal streets of the city. It is estimated that the bombardments, in which GOO projectiles were fired, killed and injured 150 persons. Incendiary shells started several fires. The projectiles fell in groups of four, suggesting that the insurgents’ batteries have been heavily reinforced as a preface to further attacks on the capital. Continuing the drive' westward, the Government claims that its troops entered Navalagamella. Government ’planes continue to bomb a number of towns, aerodromes and railway stations being the main objectives. It is claimed that 12 aeroplanes were destroyed at the aerodromes.
