RULES & REGULATIONS. N.B.—Entries for Athletic, Chopping and Sawing Events CLOSE with the Secretary, on FRIDAY, March 19th. at 8 p.m., unless otherwise specified. All Chopping and Sawing Events will be conducted under the Rules of the N.Z. Athletic and Cycling Union, and the Competitors’ attention is specially drawn to Rule 13 of Regulations, i.e.: “That every Competitor must he registered and entry fee paid before competing, otherwise he is liable to disqualification and will not receive any prize money.” Amateur Events conducted under the Rules of the N.Z. Amateur Athletic Association. No entry accepted unless accompanied by Entry Fee. Competitors to send in last three performances. Handicaps will be published on THURSDAY, March 25th, 1937. Post Entries CLOSE at the Secretary’s office half an hour before the Event. Late entries 1/- extra. In all Events four competitors or no first prize, five competitors or no second prize, seven competitors or no third prize. The owner of the winner of the Maiden Jump (Event No. 23) must be prepared to sign a declaration before a J.P. before receiving prize money, to the effect that the winning horse is a Maiden according to the Rules of the Tikokino Sports Club. RULE.—“A Maiden Horse is one that has never won a first prize at any Sports Meeting or Show.” N.B.—All Horses competing for Challenge Cups must be bona fide property of entrant. A lease for 12 months to count as ownership. The Committee reserve the right to make any alteration in the Programme and their decision to be final. Any Protest must be lodged with the Secretary within 15 minutes of the Event, accompanied by the fee of £l. Committee’s decision to be final.
