PERSONAL ITEMS.
Miss B. Limbriek left on Saturday on a holiday visit to Auckland. Mr:: A. Gieer and family, of Palmerston North, are spending a few days in Waipawa. Mr and Mrs W. H. Rathbone arc spending the holidays with relatives in Christchurch. Miss W. Hurst left by the mail train til’s morning on a visit to Dannevirke. Mr and Mrs Perry, of the Wairoa broadcasting station, visited the Abbotsford Home on Christmas Day, and entertained the children. The death took place at Hastings on Sunday, after a protracted illness, of Mrs George Ebbett, who was a daughter of the late J. ',7. Neal, of Napier. Taking a hlief holiday from his administrative duties, the Prime Minister (the lit. Hon. G. W. Forbes) is visiting Cheviot. Miss Jones, matron of Abbotsford Home, was taken suddenly ill a few days ago, and is at present a patient in the Hastings hospital.
