[Own Correspondent], “The Man From Toronto.” Last night a well-filled house thoroughly enjoyed the excellent entertainment provided by Mr Stanley Warwick and his talented company of amateurs. From the rise of the curtain the clever and well-balanced acting captured the goodwill of the audience, and every development was followed with interest, the performers often having to pause until the laughter subsided. As Leila Calthorpe and I'ergiis Wimbush Miss G. Major und Mr Warwick sustained the leading parts. Both were perfectly al home and their clever acting was greatly appreciated. They were well supported by (he rest of the east—MarIha, Miss Isobcl Cairns; Mrs Hubbard, Miss D. Williams; Rulh Wimbush, Miss R. Smith; Ada Wimbush. Misso. Limhrick; Mr Priestly, Mr G. Ohatwin; Bobby, Mr J. Boyce; and Minnie Hubbard, Miss G. Gay. At the conclusion of the performance the company were entertained by the Library Committee, the chairman expressing the sincere thanks of the library subscribers to the company. Personal. Mr A. Robot tom, of “Milbourn,” has purchased Mr W. A. Coupee's interest in his Kairakau Beach cottage.
