M« and Mrs Allan King returned to Waipawa by the mail train last evening from their honeymoon trip. Mr and Mrs A. E. King and Misses Run and Mervl King leave early next month on a visit to England. They will travel by the Vancouver route, returning to New Zealand by Suez. Mr Robert Kennedy, of the Wellington legal firm of Messrs Luke and Kennedy, will, it is expected, be appointed to a judgeship on the Dominion Supreme Court Bench. The esteem in which the late Mr Donald McLeod was held throughout the district was evidenced by the very large attendance at his funeral, which took place at Hadley cemetery yesterday afternoon. Settlers were present from all parts, and many floral tributes were forwarded by sympathising friends. Six of the brethren of Abbotsford Lodge of Oddfellows acted as pall-bearers. The burial service of the Presbyterian Church was conducted bv the Rev. A. C. McLean, of Waipukurau. and that of the Oddfellows by Mr H. W. Gallagher.

A Sydney cable message records the death of the Hon. A. Bruntnell, Ghiof Secretary, following a heart attack. He leaves a widow and eix grown-up daughters. Mr Bruntnell was a most popular Minister.
