BOROUGH LOAN POLL.

EXTENSION OF WATER MAINS. TO THE RATEPAYERS. ])EAR SIR/MADAM On WEDNESDAY, September 19th, a Poll will be taken of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Waipawa on a proposal to borrow the sum of £2OOO for the purpose' of making very necessary extensions to the rater main system of the Borough. These extensions, when carried out, will give added security against fire to many valuable properties in different parts of the Borough. The extensions are also most necessary in the interests of public health, for a complete and efficient sanitary system, with a plentiful supply of pure water, is one of the best assets a town can possess. It is important to hear in mind, too, that the proposed extension of the main in Domain road will serve the new school which is shortly to be erected, and for which an ample supply of water will he essential for health reasons. The Council has gone carefully and exhaustively into the matter of the cost of the proposed work, and is satisfied that it can be carried through for the amount named, £2OOO. It is hoped, therefore, that you will register your support of the proposal by recording your vote at the poll on Wednesday, September 19th. All ratepayers and their wives are entitled to vote. The roll is now open for inspection at the Town Clerk’s office. Polling hours: From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Yours faithfully, W. i; LIMBRICK, Mayor.
