DRUNK IN CHARGE.

(Per Press Association). HAMILTON, This day. For having been in charge of a ear while intoxicated Martin Bourke, storekeeper, was fined £ls and his license cancelled by tile Magistrate, Mr Platts. The police testified that they had warned Bourke after noticing his condition. The warning was ignored. Accused is one-armed. Counsel for the defence appealed to the Magistrate not to cancel the license as it was necessary in accused’s trade. Tile request was declned.
