To hunt sea cucumbers, a vegetable found in the South Seas, Captain George Frair sailed recently from a Californian port for a seven months’ trip. Sea cucumbers are picked from low water in coral atolls, and when cleaned and dried are sold to Japanese buyers. In the Orient they represent a regular article on the menu of cafes and hotels-
