SAD DEATH.

GIRL AT HOCKEY TOURNEY. (Per Press Association). TIMARU, This day. Miss Flora McKenzie, aged 19, a member of the Southland hockey team participating in the women’s championship tournament, died in the hospital this morning. She was taken ill at a dance on Saturday, becoming unconscious, from which she never recovered. It is believed the cause of death was spinal meningitis. All morning games were postponed.
