The “Daily Express” states that since his return from Aix les Baines, where he staved with Mr and Mrs Baldwin, Mr .T. C. C. Davidson, M.P. presided at the executive meeting of the National Union Conservative Association. This, together with private conferences, shows that Mr Baldwin has no intention of resigning and is anxious to go to the country with the appearance of a united and harmonious Ministry'. If returned it has been decided that there will he a, complete overhaul of the Cabinet, and the inclusion of new and younger men. Sir Austen Chamberlain’s retirement from the Foreign Office is certain. He mav be given a higher office if his health is restored such as the Privy Seal. Lord Cushcnden’s claims fur the Foreign Office are apparent, hut he will have to overcome powerful opposition.
