BAG SNATCHERS.
MOTOR BANDITS ROB WOMEN. Scotland Yard officers are searching for two bandits, using a two-seater car, who robbed two women of 37s in widely separated areas of South London.
Just before seven o’clock on Thursday night, Mrs Barnes, of Champion Hill, S.E., was walking along Ferndcne Road, Herne Hill, when she was overtaken by a blue car. A young man, elegantly dressed, jumped out, raised his hat, and usked to be dimeted to Sun ray Avenue. Mrs Barnes was telling him the way when the man suddenly seized her handbag, containing 80s, and rushed back to the car, which drove off towards Camberwell.
An hour later the bandits snatched a handbag containing 7s from a Mrs Burrows in Radlmurne Road, Balhain, five miles from the scene of the previous theft.
