BOROUGH OF WAIPAWA. BIENNIAL ELECTION OF MAYOR. In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” and of “The Local Elections and Polls Act, 1908,” and the several amendments thereof. T HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that the * following person has been duly nominated for the office of representative for the Borough of Waipawa for the Waipawa Hospital Board, namely:— RATHBONE, William Henry. And as there is only one vacancy to he filled and only one candidate nominated, I hereby declare the said William Henry Rathbone to be duly elected to such office. H.B. EDUCATION BOARD. ANNUAL ELECTION OF SCHOOL COMMITTEES. TN accordance with Section 43 of “The Education Act, 1914,” notice is hereby given that the Hawke’s Bay Education Board has appointed THURSDAY, the 21st day of APRIL, 1927, as the day on which the Annual Meetings of Householders will be held for the Election of Committees for the ensuing year. The hour of meeting will be 8 o’clock in the evening and the place of meeting will be the Schoolhouse in each district. The Householders within the several School Districts are hereby called upon to send in writing by post or delivery so as to be delivered to the respective chairmen of the several school committees, or commissioners as the case may be, not later than 8 o’clock in the evening of THURSDAY, 14th APRIL, 1927, the names of persons, being householders, nominated by them for election to serve upon the committee for the year ensuing. In the case of schools having an average attendance exceeding 240 for 1926, no nomination for the committee will be valid if received by the respective chairmen after the lastmentioned time and date. In the case of schools having an average attendance not exceeding 240 for 1926, nominations may, as provided by the Education Act, 1914, be’ made at the Annual Meeting of Householders.
