THE INSPECTORS’ REPORTS.
Reporting to the Rabbit Board on the conditions in this district the inspectors state:- — Inspector N. Malcolm MacKinnon. —Elsthorpe and Patangata: Killed three, started one and killed a stop of six on Cooper’s river-bed, killed one on White’s and Kelly Bros’., signs on F. Witherow’s, killed one on Tamumu Station.
Inspector J. H. Cuff. —Gwavas: Traces on Hynisli, started two and saw- traces on Georgettie’s and Stewart’s, killed two and started several others on Mathieson’s, killed one on Hodd’s, saw traces and one on Oak’s, traces on Chalmers’, Vesty’s and Condrick’s. Argyll: Traces on Pohio’s, Addis’,- and Aitkins’, signs on Butler’s and Stevenson’s (late Parker’s), slight signs on Little’s. Makaretu: Started one on F. Morrison’s and White’s, started one and saw traces on C. Severensen’s and Roswell’s, saw traces and started several on Aldridge’s. Argyll: Traces on Larsen’s (late Piper’s), Started one on Gwavas Station, killed one and started ' another on Walsh’s, saw numerous rabbits on Te Koau; started two and saw traces on Smedley. Tikoltino: Killed one on Houston’s
and J. Holden’s. Fairfields: Saw traces on Standish’s. Ashcott: Traces on Livingstone’s and A’Deane’s. Waipawa: Traces on Walker’s, Waldrom’s, and Borough Reserve. Abbotsford: Traces on Forrest’s and Allen’s, and McKay’s. Ashley-Clinton: Started one on P. Severensen’s, started two and saw traces on Collins’, started three and saw traces on Watkins ’, started two on Collins’ Reserve, saw numerous traces and started several on E. Thompson’s.
