HEAVY FIGHTING AND MANY CASUALTIES.
(Electric Telegraph.—Copyright). (Received This Dajq 9.20 a.m.) ROME, July 25. Four thousand Albanians attempted to drive out the Italians from Valona,' hut were completely repulsed after eight hours’ fighting. Hundreds were killed by artillery fire and bombardment. Later seventy were killed by the bayonet in a counter-attack.—(A. & N.Z.)
