SAVAGE CLUB.

The Waipawa Savage Club held its second korero on Tuesday evening in the Oddfellows' Hall, there being a good attendance of members. A well varied programme of instrumental selections, songs, ducts, recitations and talks was presented, and thoroughly enjoyed. The orchestra, under the baton of Savage W. Smith, gave two items, and considering the very brief period which lias elapsed since the formation of the organisation it acquitted itself remarkably well. Chief Savage Jnll, Savages Wedde, Dryden, W. Smith and A. Piper entertained the liapu with “yarns,” recitations were given by Savages Pedler, Strang and Critchley, songs by Savage Strang and Sergt.-Major Wray, a monologue bySavage Liddell, Savages Critchley and. Liddell were associated in two duets, and Savage W. .1. Fellow contributed, a violin solo, the whole forming a most enjoyable programme. Savage S. Bott played the accompaniments. Tile Club decided to alter the meeting night from Tuesday to Friday to suit the majority of the members, and the next korero will be held on the 24th inst. It is proposed to hold a ladies’ night on Friday, October sth.
