Australian & N.Z. Cable Association. Reuter Message. (Received This Day, 2 p.m.) LONDON, August 8. A French communique states:— There was marked reciprocal artillerying activity last night on most of the Aisne front. Our fire repulsed an enemy detachment east of Vauxaillon and west of California Plateau attempting to approach our lines.
