ENEMY REORGANISING HIS FORCES. IN PROSPECT OF ANOTHER ATTACK. Australian & N.Z. Cable Association. (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) PARIS, August 8. M. Marcel Hutin states that the Germans have reorganised their troops on the Flanders front and accumulated more heavy batteries with the prospect of renewed big fighting. GERMANY’S FATE. WILL BE SETTLED IN FLANDERS THE CRUCIAL TEST. (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) ZURICH, August 8. The “Vossische Zeitung” says:— “Germany’s fate is being decided in Flanders. An English base there would enable enemy air squadrons to annihilate our industrial basin and drive Germany completely from the seas. German industry would then he completely at their mercy. We must hold our positions between the sea and Lys or we lose the war.” SUCCESSFUL RAIDS. ENEMY’S ARTILLERY ACTIVE. Reuter Message. (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) LONDON, August 8. (Marshal Haig reports:— We made a successful raid last night near Lombaertzyde. The enemy’s artillery is active eastward and northward of Ypres, particularly in the neighborhood of Westhoek and the Ypres-Staden railway.
