ALLEGED FRAUD.
LARGE SUM INVOLVED. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This day. Two railway employees, Frederick C. Fraser and David Hodges, were arrested on a charge of attempting by false pretences to obtain from Henry Martindale and others the sum of £975. It is understood the charges involve an attempt to defraud wellknown Wellington turf commission agents by the manipulation of telegrams.
