WAIPUKURAU STOCK SALE. The Associated Stock Auctioneers report having held their weekly sale at the Waipukurau saleyards on Tuesday. There was a small yarding of both sheep and cattle. The competition for beef was keen, there being some very good cattle yarded. The sheep market also showed a slight improvement, which is probably due to the fact of there being such a small yarding. The following was the range of prices:—Fat heifers £l3 to £lB 16s, fat cows £9 to £l4 15s, fat bullocks £l9 10s, woolly hoggets 245, ewes in lamb 15s to 30s 6d.

Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd. —7 fat cows £l4 15s, 5 at £9, 143 ewes in lamb 29s 2d, 31 cull ewes in lamb 15s.

Williams and Kettle, Ltd.—3 bullocks at £l9, 5 heifers at £lB 16s, 2 heifers at £16 f 14s, 1 heifer at £ls 7s 6d, 4 heifers at £l6, 2 cows at £l4 ss, 1 cow at £l3 15s, 2 cows at £l3, 1 stag £lB 15s, 32 wethers at 365, 27 ewes at 28s, 66 hpggets at 245.
