(Own Correspondent). On Wednesday night a large numbrof townspeople assembled at the Town Hall to farewell Corporal E. Pedersen. A very pleasant social Ceil me was spent, tile guest being the mripH-nt of a useful present. A minihr of social items were contributed, nd dancing was kept up until an early h< ur. On Thursday morning he li farewelled at tin 1 station with Jb(e hearty cheers. “Chris,” as he ■ known to everyone in Otane, was b>m here, and was an active member •feverv social club in the town.
Tuesday night a meeting of the Patriotic league was held, Mr .1. J. Unpriili;r occupying the chair. A httcr received from Mr F.
