PFLANZER’S FATE.
PORTION OF HIS ARMY SURROUNDED. LONDON, June 23. The “Daily News’ ” Petrograd correspondent says that General Letchitsk.v is brilliantly pursuing the enemy. Part of the Austrians have retired south along the Roumanian frontier, and others towards the Carpathians, Imping to bold the fortified line of the Mikrolida and Seretli rivers. Despite the delay at Czernovitz the Russians reached tbe line simultaneously, bisecting General Pflanzer’s forces between tbe Ketty and the Seretli. ROME, June 23. A portion of General Pflanzer’s army has been completely surrounded near the Seretli. RUSSIAN THRUST. LENGTHENS THE ENEMY'S LINE (Received This Day, 2 p.m.) PETROGRAD, June 23. The Russian thrust towards Kovel has lengthened the German line by Itfty miles. The enemy is trying to hold the lines with the minimum number of forces. STEAMERS SEIZED. BY ENEMY WARSHIP. (Received This Day, 2 p.m. COPENHAGEN, June 23. A German warship, at tbe entrance 1o tbe Sounds, captured the Danish «tearner Hcblandnexos, timber laden, also the Swedish steamer Artimes. Both were convoyed to Surnemund.
