WAR RELIEF FUNDS.
THE GOVERNMENT’S OBLIGATIONS. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This day. At a meeting of the Advisory Board of the Federation, of New Zealand Patriotic War Relief Societies to-day a rcst.ution was passed that if the Government accepts a man with more than five children for service the Government should pay an allowance for the extra children, and if the Government are not prepared to pay such allowances they should not accej)t such soldier. Regarding the disposition of £3OOO per month for wounded soldiers, it was decided that the Minister of Defence be asked to furnish a quarterly statement showing how the money is being spent in England. Legislative proposals dealing with subjects affecting soldiers are being discussed.
