HAWKE’S BAY JOCKEY CLUB’S MEETING. The Jockey Club concluded a very successful meeting on Saturday, although the totalisator returns for the two days showed a falling oil of over £4OOO as against last year. The starting at the meeting was again very poor, and quite a number of horses were robbed of a chance of winning as a consequence. Concluding results : Scurry Hack.—Carlysian 1, Maryland 2. Mangatarata Hurdles.—Bracburu 1, Woolloomooloo 2. Farewell Handicap.—Multiplication 1, Cherry Blossom 2.
