WAIPUKURAU STOCK SALE. The usual weekly sale was held at Waipukurau on Tuesday. A good number of cattle were yarded and fat pens sold well. There was a good demand for forward bullocks, but other lines were slightly easier. There was a fair yarding of sheep, which was disposed of at recent rates. Brokers report:— New .Zealand Loan and Mercantile Co., Ltd.—6 fat cows £lO 19s, 1 fat cow £9 14s 6d, 1 fat heifer £9, 23 2year steers £6, 12 empty heifers £6, 17 15-month heifers £5, 05 fat ewes 24s 3d. Williams and Kettle.—376 2, 4 and 6-tooth ewes 255, 274 4-tooth to 5-year ewes 245, 6 fat bullocks £l7, 8 do. £l3" 14s, 5 do. £ls, 5 do. £l2 12s 6d, 3 fat cows £8 12s (id, 1 do. £lO Is, 1 bullock £l4, 2 cows in calf £3 8s 6d, 29 steers £8 2s.
