LIQUOR TRADE.
DEFENCE UNION FORMED. (Received This Day 11 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This day. The various branches of the liquor trade have formed a defence union and agreed to contribute £20,000 annually to promote unity. They recommended a reduction of 25 per cent in the alcohol strength of liquors.
