Twenty four teams entered. Opaki No. 1, comprising Molntosh, Bolton, Feast, G Hyde and Cameron, shot into first place. The ranges were 300, 600 and 600yds, saveo shots. Champion Teams’ Match. Leading results—npaki No. 1 467, Christchurch 458, Obura 449, Suburbs No. 1 449, Tnamarina 448, Auckland City 446. Camp Commandant Colonel Collins has issued au order of tho day, in whioh he oxpreseea appreciation cf tbo conduct of the competitors and tfce good feeling existing between them and tfce staff throughout tho meeting. The final for tfco Championship commences at 2 30. The Hon. H. Rhodes represents the Government at tho distribution of prizes. The shoot off for final places in tfce fifty to fire for the bait resulted in Knowles (Railway Corps), Croxton (Karori) and Cuthbertson (Tuamarina), securing inclusion. United Servioo Teams’ Matoh, 300, 600 and 600 yards, seven shots. Result : Rifle Club’s team 910 1, Territorials 893 2, N Z Staff 855 3. The Colonial Ammunition Company’s Cup waa won by Wellington Suburbs Rifle Club for the best aggregate long distacoes Tbo Distr'ct Champion Shield trophy for the champion team was won by Opaki No. 1.
