Waipukurau Jockey Club

(Own Correspondent.) A committee meeting of the Jockey Club was held in the Tavistock Hotel on Thursday evening, Mr G. Hunter in the chair. The interim balance sheet in connection with the recent race meeting, showing a profit of £270, was adopted. Correspondence was read from Messrs Merritt and Fox, totalisator proprietors, regarding five mutilated tickets whioh were presented for payment on Obscurity in the Eastern Handicap. The committee, after consideration, decided to pay the holders of those tickets the dividend returnable on Obscurity. Accounts amounting to £lsl were passed for payment. The secretary was granted a bonus of £lO.
