Mr Pago, Mayor of Eketahuna, attended the meeting of the Borough Council, last night, to witness the installation oeremoDy. A public social will be held in the Municipal Theatre, to-morrow evening, to aooord a weloome to the Rev W G. and Mrs Maslin. Mr Maslin is the reoently appointed Methodist clergyman in Waipawa.

Mr E. J. Riddiford known throughout the Dominiou as “King” Riddiford and the largest payer of taxes, especially of the graduated tax, in New Zetland, died at 2 p.m. on Tuesday of heart failure. He had b6en ill for some time, but had rallied recently.
