Commercial.
• Wool and Skin Sales. Messrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd., report having held their periodical sale of oddments of wool, skins, hides, and tallow. There was a good attendance of looal buyers and bidding was fairly brisk. Prices for wool were firm at current rates. Sheepskins showed a slight improvement, while hides and tallow were firm at last sale rates. The following prices were obtained : Wool.—Cross bred fleece, up to B}d; cross bred lambs, up to 7d; cross-bred pieces and bellies, up to 6d; cross bred locks, up to 4d. Skins.—Merino, up to 6d; halfbred, up to Cd; cross-bred, fine medium weight, up to 6Jd; crosßbred, fine medium weight, up to GJd ; cross bred hoggets, up to fid ; crossbred lambs, up to 2s 9d each; pelts, up to Is Id each. Hides.— Ox, heavy, 6§d per lb; medium, GJd per lb; light, 4sd per lb ; cow, medium, 6d per lb; light, 4£d per lb. Tallow.—ln casks, up to 19s 6d; in station packages, up to 2Jd per lb ; rough fat, up to per lb.
