[Per Preis Association] Levin, This day The Levic Chamber of Oommeroe was resuscitated last night, primarily for the purpoie of forwardiog a movement in favour of the Levio to Grestford railway deviatiou. Dr H. D. McKenzie was eleoted president. In the course of au address he mentioned that the deviation was shorter by an hour's journey to Now Plymouth, as well as to Auokland, and the daily agg egate saving to the railways would bj three hundred mile* of actual ruuuing, in addition to less weir aud tear, the result of the level route of the deviation. The meeting resolved to circularise various Chambers, with a view to holding, at some central town, a conference of delegates favorable to the deviatiou proposals.
