The Rev. D. Bates wired to-day : Northerly strong wiuds to a gale ; expect unsettled and oloudy weather ; rain probable; rivers rieing ; glass fall slowly, but there arc indications for glass rise after 30 hours and afterwards. A storm area appears to be approaching from the southward.
