President Taft received Sir Ernest Shaokleton at White House, Mr W. Eaoleton, of the Pahiatua branch of tha Bank of New Zealand, has been spending his Easter holidays with his relatives in Waipawa.
The mortal remains of the late Mr T. Wooster were laid to rest in the Hadley Oemetery on Sunday last, in tho presenoe of a large number of mourners and brethern of the Loyal Abbotsford Lodge of Oddfellows. The funeral service was performed by the Rev. Mr James,
Word has been reoeived of the buocbbs of Mr K. R. O’Halloran, of this town, who reoently went to Amerioa and France to gain experience. In Paris he gained two diplomas, making six in all that he has been awarded in London, New York and Paris. In Paris he also secured two gold medals, winning one of them in a competitive examination. For his work he was made a member of the Acadameur Nationele des Maitres Tailleurß do Paris.
