PROGRAMME. 12 noon—Hurdle Race—Of 15 sovs; second horse to receive 2 sovs from the stake; 1J miles; over six flights of hurdles. Nomination 15s, acceptance nil. 12.45 p.m.—Maiden Plate— Of 10 sovs ; second horse to receive 1 sov from the stake. Weight-for-age. For horses that have never won an advertised race at time of starting. Nomination 10s, acceptance nil. 6 furlongs. 1.30 p m.—Takapau Handicap—Of 16 sovs; second horse 2 sovs from the stake. Nomination 16a, acceptance nil. 1 mile and a distance 2.15 p.m.— Ladies’ Bracelet— A Bracelet valued at £lO 10s. Welter weight-for-age. Horses to be nominated by ladies. A Whip valued at £1 Is, presented by Mr M. C. Symons, will be presented to tiie rider of the winner. Nomination 10s, acceptance nil. 1 mile 3 p.m.— Flying Handicap— Of 12 sovs; second horse to receive 2 sovs from the stake. Nomination 12s, acceptance nil. 6 furlongs 3.45 p.m.— Welter Handicap—Of 15 sovs; second horse to receive 2 sovs from the stake ; minimum weight 9st. Nomination 15s, acceptance nil, 1 mile 4.30 p.m.— Farewell Handicap— Of 12 sovs ; second horse to receive 2 sovs from the stake. Nomination 12s, acceptance nil. 5 furlongs PENALTIES. Flat Races —The winner of any Flat Race after declaration of Weights to carry 71b penalty, or two or more races 10l' penalty. Hurdle Race The winner of any Hurdle Race after the declaration of Weights to carry 71b penalty, of two or more races 101 b penalty. CONDITIONS. Jockeys must produce their licenses at the scales. Metropolitan “Rules of Racing" strictly adhered to. Protests (if any) must be made in writing, and handed to the Secretary within 15 minutes of disputed event. A deposit of £2 must accompany each protest, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. All races are for hacks only. “Hack” shall mean a horse that has never won over £25 in any race of any description at time of entry. A limited number of permits will be issued to approved Bookmakers at twtf guineas each. Permits must be obtained from|the Secretary before 11.30 a.m. on day of races. Bookmakers plying their occupation without a permit will be removed and prosecuted. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections shall be determined by the provisions of the “Rules of Racing.” In all nominations, descriptions, age, pedigree, and performances of horses, name of trainer, and colors of the riders must be given. Minimum weight Bst in all Handicap Flat events except Welter. NOMINATIONS AND WEIGHTS. NOMINATIONS for all events close with Mr W.
