The enoatl meeting of the Waipawa branch of the W.O.T.U. wei held in St. Peter’s schoolroom. There wss e good ittendenoe. The president of ths brsnob, Mrs Jas. Bikby, occupied the ehair. The membership list revised tfrs H. MoLeeo, bon. secretary, sab* mitted e financial statement which disolosed a credit balance of 6s 2d. On the motion of Mrs Q. Frost a hearty vote of thanks was conveyed to Mrs Mo T ean for her trouble. After some routine business had been concluded, lection of offioan took plaoe Mrs Jas. Bibby was re-elected president, Mes dames Frost and Oowx ware re-elected vice-presidents and Mrs H. McLean was tlso elected a vice-president Mrs Willson was elscted secretary, Miss M. Shaw recording secretary, and Miss T. Johnson press secretary. Miss Barnett was re elected to the offioe of White Ribbon •gent. Meetings are to be held on each fourth Tuaaday in the months of the ensuing year, at 3 p.m, in St. Peter’s schoolroom. A suggestion by Mies T. Johnson that a scrap book be obtained in wbioh to place newspaper extracts of an interesting and instructive nature eonoeroing W.O.T.U. matters was adopted. After devotional exeroises afternoon tea waa served and the members employed this interval with interchange of methods by wbioh the success of the branch might be further advanced.
