Hockey.

A meeting was hold in the Town Hall, Onga Onga, on Thursday ovoning, to consider the question of forming a men’s hockey club. Thero was a good attendance. Mr Bissell was voted to the chair. On the motion being put to the mooting it was decided that a club bo formed to be called the “ Onga Onga Hookey Club.” Tho following office bearers woro appointed :—President, Mr N. H. Beamish ; vice-presidents, Messrs E. P. Coles, C. Lewis, J. Worrall, A. Rhodes and J. Bibby ; secrotary and treasurer, Mr J. Wolstouholme. Tho membership foe was fixed at 6s. Mr Graham offered to procure samples of the necessary outfits. It was decided that Mr Buchanan bo asked for the use of his ground, which he has willingly lent for rooroatiou purposes on all previous occasions. A committee of five members was appointed to arrango details and to a r certain the probable number of members. It is hoped to get a team formed in time to participate in the cup contests. A team of Waipawa hockey players will try conclusions with tho Napier Club, on Easter Monday, ut Farndon Park. The following is the team, which will leave by the 7.30 a.m train :—Hunt, Mustohio, Parkin, Mulindor, Tannion, Carrie, Smith, Emms, Grenside, Corbett, M. Moroney.

Notwithstanding his previous lameness, Elevation had a clipping go with Castaway, as if nothing were amiss, but returned to his box either lamo or sore. He was scratched for the Doncaster Handicap at half paßt three.
