Waipawa Rugby SubUnion.

A meeting of the Waipawa Kugby Sub-Union was held on Thursday evening, with Mr C. M. Whittington in the chair. Delegates from Wuipukurau, Onga Onga, and Waipawa Clubs were present. Mr Chambers (Waipukurau Club) said bo desired, if possible, to ro-open the business done in connection with the balance shoot and report, as he considered further discussion on the finances of the Union was necessary. He continued his remarks, and was told by the chairman that the matters reforrod to could not bo re-opened or dealt with again at ibis stage. It was not a proper way to introduce what was really new business.

Mr Chambers moved, that 50 per cent of gate money received at matches be handed to the Sub-Union. —Lost. M r Chambers afterwards stilted that bis club was opposed to the motion, and would not have had a gate, if tho motion had been adopted. The names of tho teams entering for tho various competitions must, be in the secretary’s hand not later than DOtli April. The following delegates to the Hawke’s Day Kugby Union were uppointed :—Mossrs Chambers, Wol stenholmo, and Collett. Mr Fisher gave notice to move at the next meeting, That rule 11 ho altered, and provide that the entrance fees of the clubs to the Sub-Union be increased by one third. He also gave notice to move, That tlio Sub-Union’s secretary be paid a salary.

The following officials were elected : —President: MrU. Hunter; vice-pre-sidents : Messrs Hull, Lomas, Uoacli, Smart, Harding, Staunton, Merton, nnd Dr A. Todd. Treasurer and secretary, Mr D. O’Reilly.
