Tho senior match between tho Waipawa and Waipukurau Clubs for the Huntor Shield was played on tha Empire paddock, this afternoon. Tho conditions were favorable. The ground was a bit holding. Mr William?, of Napier, controlled the game. At half-time the score stood Waipawa 3, a try got by Moroney, Waipukurau 0. In the Junior match between Waipawa and Waipukurau, played at Waipukurau this afternoon. Tho score at half time was ‘. Waipukurau 9, Waipawa 0. Tho Waipawa School beat Waipukurau School, to-day, by 19 points to nil. New Zealand Team. The following team has beou selected to tour Australia next month:—Fullback, G. Spencer ( Wellington); threequarters, Wallace and Mitchinson (Wellington), Dive (Taranaki), Fryer (Canterbury); five-eights, Hunter and Mynott (Taranaki),Eckhcld (Otago); halves, Roberts (Wellington', Column (Taranaki); wing forward, Gillett (Auckland); for wards, front row, Casey (Otago), Tyler (Auckland); looks, Cunningham (Auckland',Baton (Otago); back rew arid sides, O’Sullivan (Taranaki), McDonald and .Johnston (Otago', J. Spencer Wellington), Seeling and Fruncis (Auckland', Hogan (Wanganui). The Colman selected as a half is tho player who was wing-forward in tho North Island team last Monday. His name was then incorrectly reported as Coleman. All the above players havo eignod the declaration required by the New Zeuland Union.
