At Johnsonville there was a fair entry of bullocks of prime quality, which sold at last week's rates. Beef made 21s Gd per 1001 b, best bullocks £9 2s 6d, others £8 5s to £8 17s 6d, lighter £7 15s to £8 2s Gd. There was a heavy yarding of sheep, including some heavy prime ewes and wethers. The market was fair throughout. Extra heavy 225, others 19s to 19s 9d, lighter 17s 9d, extra heavy ewes 21s, others 19s, light ewes 13s 7d to 15s 7d.
At Palmerston North the entries of sheep and cattle were smaller than usual, and the wet wenther affected the attendance. No good lines were offered. Ewes in lamb (two-tooth to f.f.tn) 18s 4d, f.m. ewes in lamb 13s lOd, store ewes 11s Gd, Shropshire wether lambs 11s. Forward bullocks £6, fat cows £3 15s to £3 19s, fat heifers £3 6s, forward cows £2 to £2 15s, store cows 25s to 355, good dairy cows in milk £6 to £7 15s, springing heifers £4.
