Tho Waipawa and Onga Onga Juniors will try conclusions at Waipawa, tomorrow. Nominations and entries for specified events at the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s winter meeting will close on Friday, the 25th instunt. Tho Soiude Football Club will send a team to oompeto against the local players on Thursday. The kick off will take place at 3 p.m. The cup match between Herbertville and Waikopiro clubs, played on Saturday, resulted in a draw, both sides scoring a try. Ncrsewood defeated Makotuku, at Makotuku, on Saturday, by 6 points (2 tries), to 3 points (a try). The Golf Club will open the season tc-morrow on tho Abbotsford links. Players are requested to be on the links at 2 p.m. The alteration in date has been rendered necessary owing to no holiday being observed on Thursday.
