The Waipawa Town Bo’ird met this this|afternoon.

The following correspondence was read

From Secretary Napier Harbour Board, stating the Board had for sale three onelight oopper framed street lamps with Sugg’s beßt Billingsgate burners attached, which were in use on the wharves until substituted by a newer style of lamp.—Reoeived. From Whitoombe and Tombs, soliciting an order for “ Martin’s Opinion on Looal Government Law.”—Reoeived.

From Volunteer Fire Brigade, stating the committee appointed had purchased at Dunedin, two fifty-feet lengths of hose with oouplings, etc, at a total cost of £6. The hose had been tested and found satisfactory.—Money to be paid next meeting.

From Secretary Loyal Abbotsford Lodge of Oddfellows, offering to supply and erect a lamp on the footpath in front of the Oddfellows’ Hall, if the Board will maintain and light the same.— Agreed to. Lamp to be approved of. overseer’s report.

Gentlemen, —I have the honor to report the work done for the month. One and a half days’ carting two teams filling, in Rose street, and one day filling in Church street, and erecting fence opposite St. Peter’s Sunday sohool. The footpath from opposite the tank in Rose street has been metalled, also both sides of footpath newly kerbed in Church street. Digging drain and laying water pipes to and from reservoir, repairing leak in the sewer outlet, with the usual routine, is the work for the month. From Dr de Lisle, re sanitation and house connection.—Clerk instructed to issue notices according to report. GENERAL. It was resolved that the footpath from MoGreevy’s shop to the Tamumu road and Rose-street be repaired. Clerk instructed to write to owners of properties to remove barb wire from fences on footpaths. The Board’s debit balance is|£lso 10s 2d. H. Fletcher, Overseer. PAY SHEET. The pay sheet, amounting to £52 5s 8d was passed for payment.
