The Thoroughbred Stallion RAINBOW. RAINBOW is a bay horse, standing 16 hands, by Sonin us out of Maori Girl, by Totara, out of a Nutworth mare. Rainbow’s sire Sonin us, by Traduoer, is about one of the last of that good old sire (Traduoer) that is left. Rainbow when on the turf proved himself at all distances on the Hat and over hurdles. Rainbow won the Danovirke Welter, 11-7 ; Taradale Welter, first day, 11-13, second day Welter, miles, 12-4 ; Kaikora Woltor, 1(M),. only a cantor; won Parliamentary Handicap, Wellington, beating 18 starters ; Napier Park, first day, won Trial Hurdles, 9-12, second day Hurdles, 10-12, so that it can bo soon by the above that Rainbow was a good weight carrier.
