The Palmerston Show.

At the Palmerston show the Hunten' Competition was won by Mrs G. L Sunderlands’ The Sinner, ridden by Mr P. Neagle. The Sinner won this event last year. Mr Hartgill’s John Bull won the Leaping Competition for ponies. The Wood Chopping Competi* tion resulted as follows:—C. Hutton, 6min 38 3-sth sec (Eltham) 1; 0. W. Casey, 7min 28sec (Normanby) 2; 0. A. Berkahn, 7min 46seo (Waipukurau) 8; L. Berg (Konini) 4. There were 17 competitors, and the event proved most interesting.
