Prominent members of the Afriksu Bond are severing their connection win, it. They deolare that the leaders of th. Bond have misled the oountry, and be. trayed their followers. Nov. 16 The Daily Telegraph correspondent describes the use by the Boers of si. pending ballets in the reoent battles and the callous robbery of the dying and the dead. Sandberg, Commandant Botha’s aid, de camp, is lecturing in France. He declares the Boers will insist on their independence and the possession of Cape Colony, owing to the British cruelties in Transvaal and the Orange Colony. Earl Selbourne, speaking at Lesdi, said the Boere were absolutely irreconcilable. If responsible government wen granted them immediately they would use it like a rifle against us. There must be an interim period for reconstruction, on the basis of a just, free and firm government. Time would do the rest. Great Britain has granted Belgium £4OOO to settle the claims of Belgians deported from South Africa.
